Langtree Not on the Take

Posted August 18th, 2006 at 8:33 AM by Jeff A. Taylor

Here’s the important element to remember about the $800 million Langtree on the Lake development planned for Lake Norman at exit 32 off of I-77:

The developers will not seek public funding or tax breaks… They expect the project to create 750 jobs and generate $4.4 million in property tax revenue each year to Mooresville and about $3.7 million annually to Iredell County.

So it can be done. Say it again, Developers will not seek public funding or tax breaks.

Developers will not seek public funding or tax breaks

Developers will not seek public funding or tax breaks

Developers will not seek public funding or tax breaks

And strangely enough, the word on the street in Mooresville is that people are upset that there’s going to be an exit 32 built before there’s an exit 35 built!
