Meanwhile in Greensboro…

The Triad’s largest city offers up an example of how local government shouldn’t do things: The city sent a $750,000 check to the struggling International Civil Rights Center and Museum even before the museum signed a loan agreement for the money. Greensboro City Council is not amused.

Full disclosure: JLF head John Hood and I went to high school and college with Monty Hagler, the International Civil Rights Center and Museum spokesman mentioned in the story. Monty actually runs a public relations firm in Greensboro.
